City to Hold Ribbon Cutting Ceremony:
Frances J. Tilghman Memorial Dog Park

The City of Salisbury is pleased to announce the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Frances J. Tilghman Memorial Dog Park.  The dog park will feature a large dog area, a small / timid / elderly dog area, benches, trash receptacles, clean-up mitt dispensers, and agility equipment.

This project is made possible through a generous donation from M.W. “Bill” Tilghman, Sr. and M.W. “Mat” Tilghman, Jr., as well as numerous donations from local businesses and individuals.  Additional funding was received from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources through a Program Open Space grant.

The ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2011, at the Frances J. Tilghman Memorial Dog Park.  The dog park is located at 430 North Park Drive, near the Civic Center and the Kiwanis Pavilion.  All interested members of the public are invited to attend.
